Technical specifications & interface standard

Thread standards, fastener inventory, VESA support and dimensions - everything you need to integrate third-party gear or design your own attachments.

TL;DR

  • Monoblocc is built on open, industry-standard interfaces: M12 mounting threads, 1/4"-20 accessory threads, 15 mm rods at 60 mm camera-rig spacing.

  • That means third-party camera-rig gear fits directly — and you can design and 3D-print your own attachments to the specs below.

Fastener inventory (what the hardware is called)

  • 35 mm M4 countersunk screws + thumb nuts - fasten the VESA plate to your monitor arm's head.

  • 45 mm and 55 mm M4 studs - mount your monitor onto the plate; two lengths for flush vs recessed VESA.

  • 5 mm and 10 mm spacers - pair with 55 mm studs for recessed VESA mounts.

  • 2 mm Allen key - drives the M4 studs.

  • 2.5 mm Allen key - drives the M4 countersunk screws.

  • M12 → 1/4"-20 adapters - male-to-male (Single Rod kits) and male-to-female Magic Arm kits

  • M12 end caps - cover unused rod ends on Double Rods

Load ratings

Our rods are made of milled aluminium and so strong that the practical limiting factor is your monitor arm's weight capacity (total load capacity and how much rotational force its VESA head can withstand). You can replace our tripod heads or magic arms with third party heavy dutry versions and mount pretty much any camera or light as long as your monitor arm can carry it. Please note heavy accessories mounted a great enough distance to the VESA plate may induce sway, similar to a pendulum. This is more significant the lighter your monitor itself is.

  • Single Rods: limited by tripod head and monitor arm strength

  • Double Rods: limited by tripod head and monitor arm strength

  • Tripod Heads: 2 lb / 1.0 kg

  • Magic Arm: 4.5 lb / 2.0 kg

  • Component weights: see "Weight limits: what can Monoblocc hold?"

Build your own attachments

Want to 3D-print a head-tracker mount, a stream-deck cradle, or something we haven't thought of? Design to the 1/4"-20 or M12 interfaces above and it will bolt on.

FAQs

Can I use third-party 15 mm rods and clamps?

Yes - anything following the 15 mm rod standard with M12-compatible threading and 60 mm spacing integrates directly.

What torque should the fasteners be tightened to?

Hand-tight with the supplied tools is sufficient

Will you sell individual components?

We currently only sell entire kits but you can substitute our components with third party mounting hardware such as m12 to 1/4"-20 connectors, 15mm rods, M4 steel screws, tripod heads and magic arms etc.
